House rekey · Colorado Springs

New home or lost key? Rekey, don't replace.

Rekeying is the smart, affordable way to take control of who has access to your home. Instead of replacing every doorknob and deadbolt, we rotate the pins inside your existing locks so old keys stop working — and you get a fresh set of matching keys. Most homes done in under an hour.

How it works

From your call to back on the road.

Step 1

Count your locks

Walk the house and count cylinders — front knob, deadbolt, back door, garage entry, etc. We quote per cylinder.

Step 2

We come out

We pull each lock, rotate the pins to a new key code, and reinstall — non-destructive, no holes, no damage.

Step 3

New keys in hand

You get a fresh set of keys that all match. The previous owner's keys won't work anymore.

Common questions

Before you call.

Should I rekey or replace my locks?

Rekey if your hardware is in good shape — it's roughly 1/4 the cost of new locks. Replace if your locks are damaged, low-grade, or you want to upgrade to smart locks.

How much does it cost to rekey a house?

About $25 per cylinder plus a small service call. A typical 4-lock home runs around $125–$175 total. Quoted upfront.

Can all my locks open with one key?

Yes — that's the most common request. We key every cylinder to the same new code so one key opens your whole house.

How long does it take?

Most homes are done in 30–60 minutes. We work non-destructively, so there's no mess and no holes.
